Privacy notice

Geostrategos respects the privacy of visitors to this website. This site does not use cookies or tracking technologies to identify its visitors. To count visits we use a statistics tool that does not use cookies and does not collect personal data.

The only time we collect personal data is when you write to us through the contact form or by email. In that case, we will process your data solely to reply to your message and manage any relationship that follows from it, in accordance with the policy below.

Personal data processing policy

This policy is adopted in compliance with Statutory Law 1581 of 2012, Decree 1377 of 2013 (compiled in Single Regulatory Decree 1074 of 2015) and any rules that amend or supplement them.

3. Data we collect

Through the contact form we collect: name, email address, organization (optional) and the content of the message. We do not request sensitive data or data about children or adolescents, and we ask you not to include such information in your messages.

4. Purposes of processing

Your data will be processed in order to:

  1. Reply to your message, query or request.
  2. Manage any professional or commercial relationship that may follow from that contact.
  3. Comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties for commercial purposes.

5. Authorization

By ticking the acceptance box on the contact form, you give prior, express and informed authorization for your data to be processed for the purposes described. The form cannot be sent without this authorization; you can always write to us directly by email instead.

6. Rights of the data subject

As the data subject, you have the right to:

  • Know, update and correct your personal data.
  • Request proof of the authorization granted.
  • Be informed about how your data has been used.
  • File complaints with the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC) for breaches of the law.
  • Revoke the authorization and/or request deletion of your data where there is no legal or contractual duty to keep it.
  • Access your personal data free of charge.

7. Queries and claims

You can exercise your rights by writing to contacto@geostrategos.com, stating your name, your specific request and how you would like to receive a reply.

  • Queries will be answered within ten (10) business days of receipt, extendable by five (5) additional business days, with the reasons stated.
  • Claims will be answered within fifteen (15) business days from the day after receipt, extendable by eight (8) additional business days, with the reasons stated.

8. Data processors and international transmission

To operate the contact form, email and website hosting, we use technology providers that may store or process information outside Colombia, acting as data processors on behalf of Geostrategos: [PENDING: confirm providers — Web3Forms form service, GoDaddy email, website hosting provider]. 9. Security and retention
